Twenty years ago a group of crafters set up a small holiday craft show in a stately home in Beaver. Investing many hours to remove furniture, books, china and paintings from the home, the crafters set up their wares using bookshelves and nails in the walls. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres were served and local musicians played Christmas favorites. The crafters welcomed the customers as if they were guests in their home.

With each passing year the popularity of the show grew and in 1992 it moved to a large room in a country club where it continued to be held through 2004. The show organizers decided to move to the Embassy Suites Hotel in Moon Township in 2005 based on the superior facilities and its central location.

In 2007 due to popular demand Seven Oaks Country Club was again the home for a second Holly and Ivy Art and Craft show.  This year, the show will be in two locations, Seven Oaks Country Club and the Pittsburgh Marriott North.
